Naimad’s earlier portfolio recounts traveling to Washington, D.C., with the League of United Latin American Citizens for its National Legislative Conference.

She describes participating in policy discussions, meeting with elected officials, and connecting with people working on issues affecting Latino communities. The experience reinforced her interest in civic participation and the value of sharing lived experience in public-policy conversations.
